Our friend Michel Plonka got his bike stolen last nigth.

This was posted on the rise :So yeah, we went to the bar tonight and I forgot my keys, so I couldnt lock my bike and smart as I an I decided to hide it somehere (wich usually works)and three hours later next thing you know, it wasnt there anymore... Heres the latest picture i have of it... The only difference is that it has ns dirstrict 3.5" bars on it now... Heres a part list:
Dobermann molosse frame (cutted right dropout for grinds)

animal stem (sliced front car thing)

old primo balance seat

Dobermann Fab. is looking for a welder, a machinist and general labour!

Because of the growing demand of the Dobermann frames and new products for 2011, Dobermann Bikes need some help. We are looking for a full time (year round) professional TIG welder, a machinist/toolmaker that know how to work with conventional (non CNC machines) and a labour to help with the frame prep, powder coat and more small task (proper training will be supplied). Even if experience is great, we are mostly looking for someone with pure raw talent and apassion for bikes.

A cool part of being part of a small team, is that your input is vital to the success of the company.
So, one day, we might see one of your ideas on one of our bikes!

Most important of all, we are looking for someone who is as passionate, dedicated about bikes as we are.

I picked up the frame this week and its everything and more then i expected. i couldn't be any more satisfied! the bottom bracket and slotted cut out are a nice touch and im glad i chose a simple black because i dont see myself getting tired of it! after riding some other stuff between my last molosse and now having this you will have my business for life as you guys are the only people in the industry that i have delt with that pay so much attention to not only their product but also your customers and the biking community!

Anyway, you we'll have more updates on our new location and Alain's trip to Sea Otter once we'll be all set. I don't even think the new place have internet at the moment...So if we are slow at replying at your email, please be patient!!!

Renovations at the new Dobermann headquarter have started last weekend!
We are proud to officially announce that next month, we are moving to Buckingham, Québec!

No, we are not moving because we were bought by Dorel ( April's fool everybody!) ...... Mostly because we don't like our crazy landlord. If you ever seen Caddyshack, the millionaire caracter is exactly like him. After5 years in Aylmer, we wanted a bigger place because our shop is pretty crowded and we found this huge building for pretty much the same price.

Big thanks to the local Buckingham riders that helped us out.

Well if anyone can bar spin they already know why, they are hands down the most fun trick! The only thing more fun is 2 bar spins hahaha, and that’s why I do them, because they’re fun. I think people who put those comments on the videos can't bar spin because if they could then they would know how much fun they are and be like 'sick!' hahaha. I only do tricks that I find fun to do, but on the contrary I fully understand those people who don't like all my bar spins because I do, do a lot of them, lol, and I’m trying to cut down but they’re just soooo good. They’re like the sweetest candy and I’m a rich fat kid who wants to eat them all...and I want to apologize to all of the skinny poor kids who miss out lol. But I think when it comes down to it. I think they secretly like my bar spins or they wouldn't watch my videos.

Victory For Rocco, Clinton and Bryan at Ray's odd couple Video contest!

This is Dobermann Bikes first win in a top level comp!

We are so stoked! Congratulations to Rocco Quintiliani and Brian Kachinsky for the riding and major props to Clinton McMahon for finding a concept making that video THE crowd favourite! As you probably all know, Clinton is a rider and an amateur video maker. He showed us that he' s multitasked and he can deal with the pros, on his bike and behind the camera!

The second Dobermann team (yes we had riders reppin for Dobermann in 2 of the 11 teams) was not so lucky with the results. Matt MacDuff, Dillon Lloyd and Video master Vincent Allard produced a sick sick sick video! But for some reasons, it did not made the cut to top 5.

However...For his incredible riding Matt was awarded a spot on Ray's Lounge of Fame wall.And Vince's video made it as the Video Of the day on PinkBike!

Every trips to Ray's end up in a great weekend...and we wish we could've stayed longer.
Thanks to Ray and everybody involved in this event!

Its quite simple : MO-LO-SS !

What does it mean?
Molosse is a French expression that categorise all Bad ass Dogs!
Guard dogs, wild dogs, fighting dogs ect... Breeds like pit-bull, boxer, bull dogs, Rottweiler and Dobermann's are often categorise as Molosse.

Introducing the 2010 Pinscher evolutions

The 2010 Pinscher is now available, here's some spec's and info on them :
Working in small production batches allows us to tweek our desing as needed. Since the Pinscher's debut in 2005, the geo of the Pinscher and Molosse have not changed much (besides shorter chainstays). The geometry shared by those 2 frames is perfectly dialed and is the main feature of our frames! This geo will make your bike feel ligther and you will see an improvement in your riding in just a few ride.

We are working with frame ''evolutions'' rather than frame ''years'', as some frames made in the spring migth be sligthly different from a frame of the same year produced in the fall. Most of the evo's found on the 2010 frames that are produced as we speak can be found on the 09 frames produced in the last six month ( the new custom single butted top tube was added to the frames last summer).

Heres what's new on the 2010 Pinscher evolution :

- Custom single butted top tube
With the ever-increasing level of riding, popularity of rigid forks and new tricks that are abusing frames in ways that we haven't seen before (180's, foot jam ect ect) We needed to reenforce our top tube to prevent deformation. We did some tests using super high-end alloys and specialty tubes, but the ultimate way to make it bomb-proof without adding weigth and costs was to have some custom single butted tubes made for us by True Temper. The new top tubes are now much ticker at the head tube and gradualy get thinner going down to the seat tube. This new tube allowed us to save some weigth at the same time!

- 24 or 26 inch specific
At the '' demande générale'' we have designed some new drop-outs that are specific for the wheel size of your choice. This allowed us to make smaller/cleaner drop outs which are ligther and where you can slam your hub axle all the way in. The classic 24/26 dropouts are still available at no extra cost on request.

2 weeks ago the Dobermann/PassionR rally team took the start at the Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft Ontario.

We're happy about it. For our second day out with that car.
We drove safely and did not go too crazy. The car is for sale, I needed to bring it back in top shape!

Very cool article about the Bakery where he works.
Guillaume has been a part of Dobermann since the beginning, he was one of the pioneer of the early 2000 MTBMX east coast riding scene. You might not have heard of him often anymore, but he stills ride fricking hard with the same very progressive style. Also, he tests some of our new products...Its quite convenient as he lives on the same street as the Dob factory and has some sweet kickers in front of his house.

Guillaume life is always full of new projects, from traveling around the world, to build log-house and backing croissant. His spirit is a true inspiration for all of us.

So, we are finally back from our Vegas/Interbike road trip.
We have stop posting on the road because everything just got crazier and we basically lost touch of time once we drove into Vegas. Have you seen " The Hangover", the movie ?

We will post some pics and recap once our heads are back top normal.
That 10,000km trip was cool,but has you can imagine...it was a loooon drive.

The VW Best Trick Showdown competition has been cancelled today due to rain. (Thu, 13 Aug 2009 Posted at 04:00:00 PM)

“The Boneyard is just not going to provide the conditions needed for our slopestyle athletes to perform at the level they want to,” says Mark Taylor, Event Director for Kokanee Crankworx. “Due to the rain the wooden features are too slick and the dirt jumps are too soft to safely pull the technical tricks and massive airs.”

In lieu of airing the VW Best Trick Showdown on Go211.com’s live webcast a live interview talk show will take place 5:30 to 7:30pm at www.crankworx.com.

The VW Best Trick winner will now be determined at the Monster Energy Slopestyle event on Saturday, August 15. All unqualified riders will be competing at 3:30pm for the rider-judged VW Best Trick as well as for their place to compete in the Slopestyle Finals. Over the entire event of qualifiers and finals the $6000 prize purse will be awarded to the rider with the over best trick deemed by their fellow competitors.

Clinton McMahon is in Whistler with is Pink slopestyle frame as we speak getting ready to kick some ass in tomorrow's vw trick showdown in order to qualify to the Monster energy slopestyle on the 14.

We are so stoked that Clinton was able to be selected to compete, as this comp is seriously only for the top of the top. Only 24 of the best athlete in the world were specialy hand pick to compete in the best trick contest qualifier. Clinton got invited after showing what he can do at this year Claymore Challenge. Only 16 of the 24 top riders in the world will have the chance to ride in the Monster energy slopestyle, are we talking top level comp or what!??!!!

This is a turning point in Clinton career and we wish him the best!
Gabriel, Fred, Seb and I will watch him live on Live webcast tomorow at 5:30 BC time. We invite you to do the same as it will be a epic Trick contest!!!

Our friend Christopher Hatton took the second place in the DJ comp at the "Natural Games" in Millau France a comp were the level was comparable to the top international level.

Northfield, NH- Claymore Challenge Qualifier #1 was a sneak peak into the madness that will go down on July 18th. Local shredders stepped up to the plate and showed why they deserve a spot to compete amongst the world’s greatest freeriders.

Riders competed on the new and improved Claymore course and at the end of the day 23-year-old, Cape Cod local Rocco Quintiliani stood atop the podium and captured the first spot into the Claymore Challenge. The Canadian Cancer Society's Relay For Life

On Friday June 19th will be the Relay for life for the Canadian Cancer Society. It's the biggest fund raising event for cancer research, Worldwide!
Hundreds of these walks will be happening throughout the world in the coming month. People assemble teams and raise money to eventually partake in a 12 hour walk where team members relay themselves from 7pm till 7 am. Cancer doesn't sleep and this is our way to show our support to the survivors, to those who won the fight and those who cancer took away.

Everybody know's that Julie, my girlfriend, works for the Cnadian Cancer Society, so we put a team toghether, The Dobergang, And joined Gatineau's Relay. Alain, Fred, and I will be participating as well as our girlfriends and friends. We're stoked and can't wait to walk.

We just suck at raising money! So we need your help!

We are asking all of the dober-dudes and girls out there to help us raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society!

Raid your couch pillows, sell all those fizz bottles hiding in your shed, get rid of some disposable income, whatever it takes!

So a few weeks ago rocco mike and I went to richmond VA for a contest put on by jeff lanoski called speed and style. We showed up a few days before the event to chill,ride the course and enjoy the southern weather. As we road up to the course to investigate what speed and style is all about we found Ebbett and Lanoski building the ramps, building with style but not with speed. Before we could offer our help jeff gave us the old "ill buy you dinner and beer if you help us get this place together" I said "ya I was going to any way but ill take free dinner and beer". It worked out good!
Thursday night ended with a trip to Lowes buying large stacks of wood on someone else's budget,free dinner and back to the hotel after the long day of travel.
Friday morning started at the 24hour cafe\bar. We got egg sandwiches and some local dude ordered a beer.

After food we headed to the event to work our asses off riding and building for the rest of the day. The ramps got built and shredded till dark with lots of spectators,live music and news crews covering the event. Ending the night with another free dinner on jeff.
Saturday morning started with the standard 24hour cafe and practice for the contest. I was pumped up and ready to shred after landing all my bigger tricks the day prior to the contest. But before the start I bailed on a 360 and got my first sprained ankle. I never got a sprain before so this was new to me. Not knowing if it was sprained or fractured my options were to go on a stretcher with a crazy unnecessary neck brace across a bridge in front of like 5000 people into an ambulance to drive me like five blocks to the hospital or ride my bike. Rocco and mike had to stick around and place 3rd and 4th while I road to the hospital and ended up missing a bunch of sic stuff.

I may not have won the bike event but a pic of me did win the photo contest! (The one on top) And my dude nurse saw clips of rocco mike and I on a event commercial during family guy!
Over all a good time!

Lobster-Roll and Clam-Chowda

The last 2 Pink prototypes are now done and on their way to Cape Cod to get the final approval from Clinton and Rocco (We are also waiting on final approval from Christopher Hatton in France).
These 2 Pink protos are VERY close to the final production frames.
On the production model, the dropouts will have a bit more style...The head tube will be slightly different and the MID BB/pivot is getting a weight-watcher workout.
We have found the Fox DHXair to be a perfect match for these frames, we're happy to say that our Pink frames will be sold with them.
Please...don't ask wen the production Pink will be available... "We don't know"...but don't worry... We'll let you know when they will be.

Christopher Hatton's LePink prototype was done over the Easter weekend and shipped to France yesterday.

Note that this is still a proto...some minor changes will be done to save some weight and to have a cleaner finished product.Also, Christopher is getting a full on custom paint job from one of his other sponsor...
